Warnings Ignored
Margaret Thatcher “The problem with socialism is sooner or later, you run out of other people’s money.” We have heard these and many other warnings about Socialism infiltrating our society and American Government.
Another famous warning also came from across the pond, many years ago and again we ignored this warning: Alexis de Tocqueville : The dangers of loose fiscal policy were stated as follows: “A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury.”
Well, the voters, at least an apparent majority have learned that they can vote themselves money from the public treasury by simply voting for certain parties and candidates. You can see the results by visiting the Real Time Debt Clock, Debt Clock (Real Time) we have amassed a debt over $680,000 per family in America today and it’s climbing by the minute. Let me explain the problem in a easy way everyone can understand. Many of us become easily confused about sums of money.
Our deficit for the coming year will be in excess of 1.3 Trillion Dollars. I will give a simple example of only a portion of that, namely 1 Trillion Dollars (only a portion of our national deficit). Let’s start at day zero, the day Jesus Christ was born (Day One, Year One). You need to spend 1 Trillion Dollars, by the year 2010. You would need to spend One MIllion Three Hundred Sixty Four Thousand Dollars, not every year, not every month, not even every week; you would have to spend that much every single day from year 1 to year 2010. Once you grasp the idea of a 1.3 Trillion Dollar Deficit, you realize that we are being spent to a literal oblivion. All I can say is wake up, pull your head out of the sand and help stop this insanity. Albert Einstein said Functional Insanity – “When you do the same thing, the same way and expect different results.”
